Eighth

We covered a thousand miles on earth,
We scourged every heaven, every hearth;
We rode the winds, we played the seasons,
We searched for everything, but the reasons.

We loved, we lost, but we stood for the cause,
We braved the stage worthy of an applause;
We hustled, we hunted, we dreamt although we crashed,
We keep now those memories burnt and stashed.

We loved what we lived so we could get it right,
We fought every battle, we won every fight;
We always move on, we ignore the past;
But with the light come the shadows they cast.

We spent sleepless nights searching all the missing parts,
We found them lying, at the bottom of our hearts.
